You set up your store and conduct your e-commerce through E-bay. It's a kind of turnkey project. It is helpful because of lower cost and risk, and also you don't need to build website traffic from the beginning. However, you should do some doings by yourself and experience cut-through competition.

eBay is a sub-category of e-commerce. eBay has no website traffic, a lower cost and risk than independent e-commerce site because there are many helpful things to make the eBay business succeed, but it's a little bit difficult to handle because of complicated process. One more side effect on eBay is that there are still some competitors who already have a great customer base and strong feedback rating even though eBay doesn't need to face the website traffic unlike e-commerce.

Using second person makes this sound too informal.

Not sure what your last sentence means. "doings"? cut-through? Do you mean things and cut-throat?

Hwa Young:
Eek this is hard to read. You have two run-on sentences. Great info, but very difficult for me to understand easily.

Instead:
The benefits of eBay, a sub-category of e-commerce, include no website traffic to manage as well as lower cost and risk than independent e-commerce sites. The complicated process and competitors who already have a great customer base and strong feedback rating are hindrances from becoming successful.
