I interviewed 3 people
1. Kim Mi Na
She applied for the position of listing instructor.
She practices listening comprehension in her study group.
She listens to CNN and NBC news to improve her listening ability and skill
She is quite qualified for this job. But to know something and to teach it someone is a lot different. Except for little experience, she is ready to go!!!

2. Lee Go Woon
She was interviewed as an applicant of Counselor.
I think she is a perfect person for this position.
She is outgoing and social and she is a good listener.
One thing should be added to her qualification is a counselor certificate.

3. Kim Jeong Sun
She applied for the position of master grammar instructor.
With long experience working at institutes, she has a diverse background with to offer as a grammar teacher.
And it seemed to me that she really likes her students and she knows how to teach and control them.

I interviewed 3 interviewees: Soyean, Gilsun and Jihye.

They impressed me quite a lot in that they prepared well. In other words, their answer seemed nearly flawless. Thus, it is hard to give a criticism. But I came to my mind some implications right after interview with them.

Considering that this is a job interview which should deliver good impression in rather short time, they should have more focused on their posture. As you know, when it comes to communication, the effect of non-verbal languae is higher than that of verbal language.

Recalling 3 classmates' interview, Soyean applied marketing related position. She seemed to know well about what her duty was at that position. But her answer seemed to be common. she could have differentiated her capacity by expressing her enthusiasm on the job as a potential maketing staff.

Gilsun's case, she applied to teaching assistant and answered very well on somewhat difficult question. If she could hide her confusion, it couldn't be better.

Jihye came to have seat in front of me and asked me, interviewer, firstly do you know which job I applied. At that time, I replied no. And then, she told me the answer that she would like to be a speaking instructor. This might be a strange situation that interviewee asked interviewer but it was felt that she was trying to pay attention to interviewer's concern or interest. But she seemed to need to keep smiling while interview. I don't mean that she frowned her face. I mean she sometimes lose her facial expression. Try to be more attractive with smiling while interview.

The final comment to Jihye is very important. Even me, keeping smiling is not an easy thing but one of the most important things in our life. I think all of my interviewees are eligible for their hopeful position.

(Gil-sun Bang)

I interviewed 3 people.
1. Mi- hyun Yu
She applied for position of marketing assistant. She knows exactly what she wants to do and what she can do it. But she needs to pay attention to her physical posture. For example, when she spoke, she made useless gestures like playing with her hands or a pen. And she should have self-confident. I think that she doesn’t need to say “I’m not good at ~.” or “I don’t know ~.” I think that she doesn’t need to apologize for lack of experience or weakness. At last, when she speaks, she should maintain eye contact.

2. Yong-ho Gi
He applied for a counselor. He has a lot of experiences. Also he showed enthusiasm and interest in the job. So I knew how he wanted to be a counselor. But when he spoke, he should pay attention to his gestures, especially eye contact. I think that he should maintain appropriate eye contact.

3. Rando Kim
He applied for a writing instructor. He knew his goal and abilities exactly. So I knew why he applied for the position, a writing instructor. And I think he maintain appropriate eye contact. But when I asked him, he replied two or three sentences answers. Those were too short. I think if he prepared some expected answers, he could explain in detail.

Interviewer: Jihye Kong
Interviewees: Rando Kim, Mina Kim, Yongho Gi
Interviewing applicants is not easy for me keeping on listening his/her saying but I would say it was a good experience. Giving feedback, I put more weight on answering the questions.

1. Rando Kim
He applied for a writing instructor. When I asked him about the reason to be a writing instructor, he made it clear based on his likes. He had a very hard reason for it. In the course of having an interview, however, I saw him laughing too loudly when I asked about something outrageous. Of course, we have a lot of fun, but it was a very formal situation, so I recommend that he would rather control himself. Everything was great except that.

2. Mina Kim
She wanted to be a listening instructor. When I saw her resume, I was surprised by her various experiences. In addition, her attitude as an interviewee was pretty good. She answered my questions keeping eye contact on me. She looked so professional. If I pick up something on her to be critical, I would say she had fewer smiles, which made me kind of uncomfortable. I’m sure she would be the best interviewee as long as she fixes it.

3. Yongho Gi
He would like to be a general manager. He went though the interview very sincerely as he was going on a real one. That was very impressive. On the other hand, His answering the questions, he had a tendency to be too specific and say a lot. I’m not saying he is wrong, but in my point of view, answers must be brief by getting the point of the question. He seemed to have much knowledge on his field, so if he makes use of it, he will make it in an interview.

I interviewed 6 people: So-yeon, Ji-hye, Ji-gun, Hwal, Eun-young, Gil-sun.

So-yeon: So-yeon applied for a marketing manager. It seems that So-yeon has a passion for the position. But it is little worrying that she has little experience about marketing field.

Ji-hye: Ji-hye applied for a speaking instructor. She has been in an English conversation club and helped a Mongolian speak Korean more fluently. But I am little inconvenienced that she has not any speaking proficiency certificate.

Ji-gun: Ji-gun applied for a webmaster. I am sure that he is qualified for the position. He has some computer certificates and experience of the computer field. During the interview, he could not grasp the point of a question once in a while.

Hwal: Hwal applied for a grammar master. I am relieved that he has been worked in an English institute for more than a year. He has experience relevant to English teaching. But he spoke in a colloquial style in the formal interview.

Eun-young: Eun-young applied for a listening instructor. She has been in an English conversation club and has overseas experience. I believe that she has a proper qualification for that position. She would better have a material evidence for her listening competence.

Gil-sun: Gil-sun applied for a teaching assistant. She knew well what tasks a teaching assistant should do. I am sure that she can help and cooperate with other instructors. It would be better for her to prepare for unexpected questions.

My interviewees were Rando, Mina, Gowoon.

I couldn't ask much enough to know how they would work or participate in the institution because I had no preparation for our interview and also of my stutter.

Interviewing with Rando was slow progress and quite arduous to confront each other but I'm wondering why...^^; He applied for a Writing instructor. I can see he is well trained and deserve to be an instructor for correction. I felt lack of questions about more plans he has.

For a Speaking instructor, Mina, I gave some elaborated(as for me^^;;) questions that how she could do to improve English skills not only in speaking. She agreed that other skills of reading, writing, hearing need to go in parellel, and told that she would try to make narrow the gap among those 'skills'.

Gowoon applied for Counselor position. I think the most comfortable interview did I take with her, and she seemed to have a innate gift of making other people comfortable which is most necessary factor as for a counselor. In former conversations I could see she's kind of sociable person that she is apt for the position.

1. Gilsun(teaching assistant)
She sounds like a good worker with sincerity but when hearing her saying I wanted her to be a more specific teller about what she said like her experiecce or personality. If she was more active in the way of her speech it would attract my mind better.

2. Gihye (speaking instructor)
What I care about most while interviewing was how much people look confident answering about themselves. In this point her speech was excellent She answered most of the questions in a very calm and well organized way. So I believe, even though she said she might be having teaching difficult because she is not a native speaker, she will be a good influence and instructor for students.

3. Gigun(webmaster)
I value his experience in this field and also in term of that the job positoin is in relation with his major. But he had to be more sincere interviewee and had to have more confident looking.

4. hwal(master grammar instructor)
He showed great desire for this job showing his ability and challenging mind in making his own grammar books for kids in as the easiest way as possible to help their understanting. He also has big experience of teaching. He said first time when he taught somebody was the hardest time but I am now sure that he has been prepared a lot so don't worry about whether you could be a good teacher.

5. eunyoung(listening instructor)
I think her school life has gone so well because I saw she looked happy and excited when she talked about things she has done in club activities at school.
Her charming and well balanced voice tone was also good to hear.
But she looked like she wasn't sure about some of her English teaching skills(in speaking and reading parts). If she really is I think she needs to invest time for it.

6. Soyeon(marketing assistant)
I felt that she has a lot of passion for this job and how much she wants it which made me all time focus on her saying.
just the fact that her voice wasn't big enough is one thing I want her to change to when interviewed next time.

I interviewed 6 interviewees : Jihye, Gilsun, Hwal, Soyean, Eanyoung. Gigun

eanyoung

I had so great time through her job interview. She applied for the position of listening instructor. I think she is a perfect person for this position because she already had some experience as the leader of conversation class and she has practiced listening comprehension in her group for a long time ,furthermore, she had some teaching experience. So she already knew how to study english and how to teach english. Moreover, I was so impressed by her good image. She had so big smile when she answered some question and she tried to maintain eye contact. But she spoke quiet when she answered the questions.

Jihye

She wanted to be a speaking instructor. I could find some good experience through her resume. She went to U.S.A to study english so she could spend lots of time to converse with American. And she has been in an English conversation club and helped a Mongolian to speak Korean. I think she will make a good job.

So-yeon

So-yeon applied for a marketing manager. I think she is a perfect person for the position of marketing manager because her character is active and quite friendly so she easily know about customer's need and advertise our institute so effectively. I was so impressed by her attitude and big smile. But I was worried about her little experience about marketing field. But I think she will make a good job.

Gil-sun

Gil-sun applied for a teaching assistant. She was the best interviewee to answer my question. I though she already knew well what tasks should do as a teaching assistant. And her voice was filled with the confidence and tried to maintain eye contact. She’s really got what it takes as a teaching assistant.

Hwal

Hwal applied for a grammar instructor. He has been worked in an English institute so he perfectly knew the english grammar enough to teach someone. And he had some good experience to serve the American army so he could speak english very well. In this reason, I think he is the perfect person for the position of grammar instructor. But he cracked a joke during our conversation. It did not fit on interview situation.

Ji-gun

Ji-gun applied for a webmaster. At first, his major is related with this job so I though that he already knew this kind of job. He has some computer certificates and experience of the computer field. During the interview, he did not have the passion to talk about his job.

Jeong sun

She applied Grammar Instructor. She has gorgeous experiences related to this job and her attitude was really polite. In Jung-chul Institute, her result was also very good. She is the perfect person to this position, I think. However, I was suspicious she really want that position. She didn’t show me her passion.

Mi-Hyun

She applied Marketing assistant. She also has experiences in marketing and her minor was Business Management. Both her back ground is sufficient to be a Marketing manager. I don’t know why she didn’t apply for that position. However, I couldn’t see her confidence while interviewing. I think she is deserved to show her good point and her passion.

Young-ho

He applied counselor. When I looked his resume, I was confused what I should read. I mean that he has lots of experiences. I think that his various experiences are helpful to counsel students. He showed interests and passion to me. I think he is perfect person. However, his gesture was too much. When interviewing, I felt little bit nervous. And he talked a lot. If he fixed them, he would be great.

It seems everyone has fun time with their interview. I can feel that everybody has very good personality and passion on their applying position through your comments. most of interviewees have good looking and impression. However, that's not enough to judge their appropriation.
Hwal said because Go-woon is outgoing and social she is perfect person for counselor. Do you really think that's enough as a counselor? I think to be a counselor, good attitude of liten to other's concern, focus on their needs, and give advice through their past experiences.
Some of people were mentioned about interviewees' attitude. For instance, some one need eye contact, more smile, or answer the question more briefly. Actually that kinds of things are important in interview, but they should more focused on their experiences or skills they have. Like Gi-gun, the certification in computer field can be a good argument which prove that he has an ability to be done his work as a webmaster. Because of all of us are students, I know that it's really hard to judge their suitability. However, most of you did a good job.

I interviewed 6 people.

So-yeon:
She applied for marketing manager position. She knows about that position of duties and qualities very well. And she looked outgoing and confident. I think that she is qualified to be that position.

Ji-hye:
She applied for speaking instructor position. She speaks English fluently. But I’m worried about that she could be a speaking teacher. There are different thing between the ability and teaching skill.

Hwal:
He wants to get a grammar teacher position. The strongest thing of him is that he has a long experience related of that position. I think that experience is one of the most important things to choose the employee, because it can save money and time to train a new employee. If I were an interviewer, I would choose him.

Gil-sun.
She hopes to be a teaching assistant. Well, I think she is better to be a speaking teacher than a teaching assistant. She studied both English and Korean in university so it can help teach students because she can know difference between Korean and English.

Ji-gun:
He applied for Webmaster. Actually he has a prior experience and some computer certificates so he may be perfect person to be a Webmaster. Even though that position is related with technical skill, as a decision maker, I would hesitate to choose him. I mean that he was lacking in confidence and skill of interview.

Eun-young
She wants to be a listening instructor. She answered to my every question very well. And she has passion for teaching job. I know the passion and enthusiasm is the most important as a teacher. She gave me a strong and good impression.
